MGE Office Protection Systems strives for continuous improvement in the environmental quality of our products, processes and services by committing ourselves to a voluntary continuous improvement approach by introducing an Environmental Management System that complies with the ISO 14001 standard.
With a strong environmental policy, ahead of legislation:
- All MGE Office Protection Systems products are “eco-designed” to minimize the environmental impact of each product throughout its life cycle
- ISO 14001 certification started in 1997 and all our factories will be certified ISO 14001 by 2008.
- A proactive policy with the “Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances” (RoHS directive).
- We provide solutions to our customers for clean recycling and dismantling of products.
Our Guiding Principles:
- Meet or exceed all applicable environmental requirements. We will evaluate our performance by monitoring performance results through periodic management reviews.
- Advocate the adoption of environmental principles and practices by our contractors, vendors and suppliers.
- Design, manage and operate our facilities to promote energy efficiency and protect the environment.
- Strive to create products that are safe in their intended use, conserve energy and materials and prevent pollution throughout the product life cycle including design, manufacture, use and end-of-life management.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their role and responsibility to fulfill and sustain MGE Office Protection Systems environmental, health and safety management systems and policy.
